Coach Pitch Evaluations

Things your child will need:
-Their own glove... they will be fielding the ball as part of their evaluation
-Bat and Helmet are optional... the league will provide some if you do not bring them (Please remember that bats must have the USA Baseball sticker on it and T-Ball bats are not permitted in coach pitch)
-Regular closed toe shoes or cleats (Note: metal cleats are NOT permitted in Little League)-A JACKET/WARM CLOTHING!

Things that parents, siblings, spectators, etc. need to know:
-You are NOT permitted on the field without already having filled out a volunteer form and been approved by the league
-You are NOT permitted on the field to warm your child up before tryouts start... they need to warm up with the other kiddos
-In order to qualify for a team, your child must attend one of the provided tryout dates
-Your child will be evaluated on the following: fielding grounders and fly balls, hitting, speed, attitude, and their ability to listen to instructions given by our volunteers.
-We will have a few weeks to go before the selection of teams, your child will not be placed on a team immediately after they have been evaluated. A draft will take place weeks later and teams will be chosen them.

Baseball and softball embody the discipline of teamwork. They challenge players toward perfection of physical skills and bring into play the excitement of tactics and strategy. The very nature of baseball and softball also teach that, while every player eventually strikes out, or is on the losing team, there is always another chance for success in the next at-bat or game.
